subject and it has never helped me in the real world. I did find a real life use for the paper that summer on the trail along with all the others as we hiked the trail and I started all the campfires.
I think English 101 is a new game with some old rules and many new. I think it has adapted to our ever changing world and advancing technology. I think old Cindy and new Cindy both play roles in working through the class and using it to help me on my journey. I think it is a mix of the new person I have become as an adult (and I use this term loosely) and the old Cindy who thinks in a slightly dated and strict way but is learning to adapt. I think we are all in constant motion and have an endless curiosity for life and we change with each and every new experience. Sometimes we move forward and back in life all at the same time. I think working through this class calls our attention to all the little details, the big moments, the change that is continuing and the future towards which we journey. I think I enjoy writing more even when I get frustrated because I feel like I’m learning new skills. I feel like I’m writing while working on learning about myself. English 101 new and old game played by new Cindy and old Cindy simultaneously with goal of passing the class in May 2010 and looking forward to creative writing in Fall 2010 and not sure who will be showing up to take that class. Hope to see you all on the other side.

" started all the campfires"
ReplyDelete:)
I really enjoyed this, but of course, how could I not. It's clearly structured but wooly. Do you know "wooly"? Like a sweater that's pilling or a sheep ready for shearing: too much, too loose, too relaxed.
So, for the future, keep your voice, keep your drive, keep your desire to be nobody but you--but think if you can do all that in a somewhat tighter way.
But that's for the future. I'm very happy to take this as it is right now.
